I came in looking for help with my headlights. I felt that they were not as bright as they could be, and my high beams felt like they were aimed too high. Service visit went well, BUT 2 days after the visit, the tire pressure indicator light came on. Had just received the monthly diagnostics that said everything was okay. Stopped in to the Service Dept where they took a quick look and made me an appointment to come in and get the sensor reset. Two visits for my free one year checkup- that's one too many!

Inspected and fixed issues another dealer didn't

This truck has been in and out of there with nothing getting fixed properly. It appears now I have an intermittent problem with my auto high beams coming on when cars are headed towards me and I am unable to turn off. It seems that the more I bring it into to get serviced the more problems occur. There is no bad feelings against Steve the salesman, Brandon the service advisor or Nick the tech. It’s just I feel I’ll need to find hopefully a better service and places to b it my GM vehicles. I will not ever be returning to this dealership since they had my truck for over 2 weeks and only was able to fix a radio that turned out to not even being the radio itself. I also had a 1-1/16 socket that I just used to close my camper prior to bringing my truck into service ti find it missing. Talked to Brandon about it and all I got was what brand was it and I’ll ask around. With again no response back I have made this difficult decision to move on from Bob Johnson west and maybe Bob Johnson all together. It’s said because I have been a loyal customer since the days of Ian Love and can’t say anything has been good since that time. Hopefully you really do something with this service department and this survey to make some changes for the better. Thanks again for everything but it’s time to move on.

Wasn’t sure if a vehicle I picked would go through and when it need just little more down than I had they went all out to find me a vehicle for my needs and I absolutely love worked out perfect with what I had . I was disappointed with the dealerships ability to accommodate us with a rental car for our needs. We had an issue with getting our registration for our recent purchase. They offered us a rental problem was they had no cars to rent us so they offered us a chevy pickup truck without a step up. We are 80 years old and to step up 2 feet to get in was not easy. Can't understand why you couldn't get a car from another Bob Johnson location?? Well as it was we had to return the truck and they did have a loaner coming in it was a SUV. So ity did work out however I still have an issue with not being able to accommodate us.

I intended to order a new Silverado 1500 because I couldn't find one equipped like I wanted, but my Sales Professional Steve Cusenz found one that was 95% to what I wanted so that's the one I took. I am now enjoying my new ride several weeks before I thought I would!

I had a scheduled appointment for 3:30 pm on December 17th. I arrived and checked the car in by 3:15 and was told there was one car ahead of mine. I proceeded to the waiting room where there were 3 others waiting. I know that the one gentleman was there for repairs and the two women I’m assuming one was the oil change ahead of me. The two women were done and gone around 4:00 and the gentleman around 4:30. No one else were in the waiting room. I had talked to Izaya Christopher before the appointment and assured me that the oil change wouldn’t take long. I’ve been to many appointments and it never took longer than an hour. So it got to be close to 5:00 so I asked Izaya if he could check on my car’s status. So he comes out around 5:00 and apologizes saying there were 3 cars ahead of mine and it’s just coming down off the lift. On the paperwork it says to promised 7:00. I mentioned that I was waiting for the car and he had me wait in the waiting room and again he said “THERE WAS 1 CAR AHEAD OF ME”. Not sure what the issue was. I am happy with car purchase with Izaya Christopher and will definitely be back because his courtesy and professionalism throughout the buying process. As for the delay in service, I’m not sure what happened but it was a little long.

I was able to schedule on line. my vehicle got immediate attention and oil change and rotation was done timely. I drove away and unfortunately, my brake system and hydraulics completely failed. my vehicle is in the shop and needs serious repair work . It was purchased in March 2025. this is a problem that had been previously documented and a known issue. Not too happy with GM. Luckily my manager was able to secure me a loaner at almost closing time. Greatly appreciated.

When I dropped the car off in December '25, the service I received from Brandon B., the first service manager I was assigned to, was awful. He failed to arrange a loaner for me after my car wasn't diagnosed during it's scheduled appointment, even after having a conversation about this when the appointment was scheduled. The diagnosis didn't happen for several days. There was no communication with us during this time and we had to push find to out what the delay was. We found out the part needed would take a "few weeks" to arrive, and we were given a hard time about wanting a AWD vehicle for my 70 mile/day commute in Rochester, NY during the winter. He lied to me several times, questioned my ability to determine whether my loaner was AWD or FWD, and his overall customer service skills should be an embarrassment to Bob Johnson. We were then reassigned to Kevin B. who worked with us to try to make things better while I was without my 7 month old car for 3 months - not the few weeks as I was first told by Brandon. Kevin's customer service skills were better, and he kept in contact with us but at that point the overall experience was frustrating and I didn't feel like Chevy or Bob Johnson cared that I was driving a smaller car than the one I purchased and the inconveniences that caused my family. After a call to Chevy Customer Service in February, after the date passed that I was told the part was scheduled to arrive by, things seemed to finally start to move along rather quickly and the part I was waiting on finally arrived at the dealership. I'm not sure whether the timing was coincidental, or whether that call revealed a snag in the system, but the part was received within a couple days of my call. We were then told that the technician to install the part was buried, and they weren't sure when the new part would be installed - after being told our vehicle would become top priority once it was delivered. At that point I was told I also needed to return my loaner due to mileage, and would receive a Chevy Silverado -an uncovered pick-up truck for a mom transporting kids everywhere with sports equipment - that didn't seem like the customer's needs were taken into consideration - that's why I purchased a SUV in the first place. I finally have my Traverse back, it's running good, but I'm currently still talking with Chevy Customer Service about the entire ordeal, from start to finish, and plan to write a letter to corporate in hopes that others don't have to deal with the same issues I did. The stories, the lies, inconveniences, and being jerked around and never felt like the needs of a customer that purchased a $42K+ vehicle were taken into consideration.

Thank you to Kevin B for getting me in on time and all issues repaired, all maintenances reviewed, shuttle driver was awesome, Nick L took care of all my concerns and even took the time to come out and discuss my concerns and his repairs, above and beyond, Mike D was on hand and offered a trade in price on a new Trax or Equinox.TBD.

Great service department.

Brandon Bonter was excellent in managing my service request. I have a problem with the turn around on the replacement of my On-Star module. There was one in the warehouse that didn't make it to the dealership for over a month and it was only available after Brandon did a vehicle search on the outstanding work order. Not good.

When I arrived, the service advisor, Kevin Berg had two other people he was helping. He made it a point to look at me and tell me he would be right with me. They got the truck in, performed the service and Kevin came and got me when it was done. While I was waiting, spoke to a few employees that were all very polite and asked if I needed anything. The facility is very modern and clean, there is nice waiting area, would definitely go there again.

They made the process of buying a car very easy. Steve and rob were both very personable and easy to talk to. They were flexible with my crazy work schedule and very helpful answering all my questions clearly.

Bought my first truck, but regret buying at Bob Johnson West. The truck is a 2021 Chevy Silverado 1500 LT Trail Boss with 5.3L. I hear an engine tick noise, especially at cold start up. Was told from Service Department they are unable to hear anything. The truck vibrates going over 40 and gets worse at 65, but was told that is normal. I still have GM’s power train warranty until March 22, CarBravo warranty for 6 month/6000 mile, and extended warranty for 4 year/48,000 mile. I’ve only had the truck since 12/29/25 with 1,500 miles. Ended up having to spend $1,244.22 for transmission flush just to maintain warranty, but nothing has been fixed. The ticking noise and vibration has me worried I purchased a lemon, as warranty feels useless when the problem isn’t acknowledged. I feel very disappointed with the service department and just gave up trying to get my first truck running smoothly. I love my truck, but regret it at the same time. Michael Presler

I called Patrick after realizing I had a flat tire. I was able to fill the tire and make it to Bob Johnson. Patrick got me in and had service look at my tire and determine there was a piece of metal in it and they repaired it. I was very happy that it was not a huge costly repair. Dear Bob Johnson West, The people at Bob Johnson were very friendly and accommodating when I was looking to purchase a new vehicle. I happened to choose a vehicle that was at another dealer. I was allowed to go with the driver from Bob Johnson West and drive the vehicle back to the dealership. That was very nice of them to allow me to do that. While I was in the process of purchasing my vehicle I was asked if I wanted a vehicle protection package which included ceramic coating, Rust proofing the underbody and interior protection. I inquired about how the ceramic coating, and the rust proofing were going to be applied. I was extremely concerned about over spray from the application of rust proofing because of bad experiences at other facilities. I was taken to the techs that would apply the rust proofing to express my concerns. They told me not to worry that they would be careful, and everything would be done right. The details of the purchase were completed on Monday. Tuesday the vehicle was brought to Bob Johnsons from the other dealer. I was asked by the salesman if I wanted to pick up the vehicle on Wednesday or Thursday. I said Thursday would be better because it would give the dealership more time to properly prepare the truck for delivery. Thursday morning, I got a call from the salesman, and he told me that he needed to change the delivery from Thursday to Friday. He said he had some training class for work, and he would be out most of the day. I was not happy about it, but I told him that I would be okay with it because it would give the dealer another day to properly prep the vehicle. On Thursday I went to the dealership to look to see if the vehicle was prepped for delivery. I found the vehicle in the delivery bay on the west side of the building. I went into the delivery bay and started to check the vehicle over. The first thing I noticed was the truck had been washed. Looked just okay. The chrome running boards did not look as if they were washed off at all. Then I noticed there was black rust proofing all over the running boards. Not just on top but on the bottom and back sides which is chrome finished as well. I looked over the rest of the outside and noticed a bunch of spots on the hood and other areas. I looked inside and saw that some dirt and other spots on the interior that was there when the truck was brought back from the Towanda dealership. The windows were dirty and it just didn’t look ready for delivery to the purchaser. At this point I figured that since the vehicle wasn’t going to be delivered until the next day that the dealership was still working to get it ready. Shortly after I left the dealer ship, I texted the salesman and told him I was in and saw the vehicle in the delivery bay and that it was not very clean and still needed to be prepped. On Friday morning about an hour and a half before picking up the vehicle from Bob Johnson west I received a text from the salesman with a link for something he needed me to do before I got to the dealership. I texted back and told him I wouldn’t have time. He said we could do it when I got there. When my wife and myself got to the dealership, the first thing I did was go in the delivery bay to see if the dealership finished prepping the vehicle. The running boards looked like they were washed off but the rustproofing was still all over the chrome finish. I opened the doors to see if the inside was cleaned up but was disappointed to find that it wasn’t. There were white chalky marks on the center console as well as the front and back seats. The front and back windows were still dirty. The spots on the hood and doors seemed to have been cleaned up better though. I was very disappointed. I told the salesman about the overspray on the chrome running boards and the interior. He got someone to look at it and they pulled the vehicle out of the delivery bay and took it to the body shop. When it came back in the delivery bay the rustproofing overspray was cleaned off the top, but it was still all over the back and bottom. Very disappointed. The inside was never cleaned up as well. Needless to say, the entire time it took for the delivery process to be completed was three and a half hours. I was very thankful to be allowed to put my tonneau cover on while the vehicle was in the delivery bay. There were several other glitches that came up during the process. I am disappointed that I have to give a not so good review. I am more disappointed that I had to clean a brand-new truck myself. The rustproofing still needs to be cleaned off the chrome and there are some other issues that need to be taken care of. I hope those issues will be done correctly so I don’t have to bring the vehicle back repeatedly for the same thing or end up doing it myself. There were two other vehicles that came through the delivery bay while I was picking up my truck. One ended up in the showroom. The other was a used Dodge black pickup someone bought. I was in the bay when the buyer came in to look at it. First thing he said was “wow”. I would have liked the wow factor. Both looked nicer than my purchased vehicle. Very Apologetically, Paul J. The service is normally fine from the service writer and the technician working on the truck, the way the dealership takes care of the customers is subpar. I have been a customer for many years. I have charged (CC) for my services as most are over $100.00, which I normally do not carry $200.00 in my pocket. Today I was told that a surcharge was added if I use a CC. That is just a low blow that is the cost of doing business. Since Covid people are dinged now for using CC. During Covid that was the way businesses asked to be paid. I do not like the way Bob Johnson Chev business ethics are, so any non-warranty work will be done not at this dealer. Sincerely, Michael DeRose

I was one month past the the free oil change because I had my right hip replacement and I was charged the full amount for an oil change. That's the only reason that I went to the dealershipfor an oil change. I could have gone to elmgrove auto which is 2 minutes away from my house where I usually go from auto repairs for the past 20 years and got an oil change for $60. I had a bad experience with the salesman buying the Blazer there but I decided to try the service department. I will not be back there ever again, I can go to any chevrolet dealership in the area for warranty repairs. You lost a customer due to the service manager not honoring the free oil change even though though I explained that I had to go to the doctor and hospital for a hip replacement which took me almost a year to get done. I called Jim Barnard Chevrolet in church ville and they said they would have honored the oil change due to the circumstances.

This was my first service appointment and there was no charge. Not sure if I was greeted by a service advisor but someone took my keys and showed me where the waiting area was. After waiting over 1 1/2 hrs. I decided to go looking for my truck so I could leave the dealership. Found someone to help me locate a service advisor who could help me locate my truck. I guess the service requirements were finished because I was given my keys and sent on my way. Later I found a text was sent detailing the work that had been done(not sure about the tire rotation). Having purchased many new cars and trucks over the years I would have to rate my experience with this dealership not very positive.

Beautiful car, friendly people, inside of the vehicle was covered with dust, I would've thought they would at least wiped down the inside of a $100,000 Corvette before selling it. I had to get the inside detailed the day after I bought it.

The saleswoman was great. The credit application was terrible - we should have been sent the link on-line the day before and / or being told to bring our laptops to the dealership. Many of us prefer large screens and large keyboards to trying to do complicated things on the phone. There were problems with logging on - the messages that came to text or email seemingly at random. When putting in the phone numbers it kept saying "invalid format" without telling us what format they wanted. As an aside, the huge windows should come with shades to keep the sun out on bright days. The glare can be annoying and over-heat the space, wasting energy / air conditioning.

The entire experience was excellent! Everyone helped to make the car buying process go smoothly and stress free. If I were to recommend or buy another car I would definitely go back to Steve because he was a genuine person who helped tremendously. He made the process a lot easier than I was expecting and he was very helpful.

They ended up completing the service appointment the same day we dropped the car off... instead of the following appointment day! What a pleasant surprise when they called to say it was done a day early! We will definitely continue using this service department for GM recommended service.

The mechanics try to charge me for breaking the wire harness on the fuel tank when removing it to put a new sending unit In. Then request a quote for a new car and they keep charging the price of trade in and the cost of a new suv. It was over all the worst time to deal with everything when it should have been in and out in a day. I did end up getting a new car but feel the trade in was not far and the new car they could have been better on price do to I have buy 2 car from Bob Johnson before. The 3 day is very long. Talk to them on Thursday and when in and they had us come back Friday to pick up a new car when we were already there. We should of been able to pick up same day

Work started 5/29 and finally finished on 6/26. Started poorly from the initial drop off. I was told they don't do work on Saturdays even though website let me schedule my service on Saturday morning but might look at and would call. Never looked at it and never called. I was without vehicle all weekend. After getting a call Monday morning it was a constant struggle to get information, a call back or timeline. After not receiving calls after initial call Monday I showed up to pick up truck 30 minutes before close and door was locked to service. Went through sales and nobody was in service. Finally found sales person that helped me find a service rep. Told him I had to have truck back even though tailgate button was not fixed. Service rep called technician and technician had a snide comment over the phone that I could hear plainly because the tailgate was still taken apart. Not sure they realize but people need vehicles to get back and forth to work. A phone call would have been great or simply updating the tracking in the email that was sent on dropoff. 6/3 I received an email from parts department saying parts were in to fix tailgate so I called and left a message to schedule another dropoff and never received a phone call back. Finally I was able to get ahold of service on 6/15. Got a loaner and dropped off truck 6/22. Again I had to call them to get the status on Friday. Got truck finished on 6/26. Additionally on top of the lack of communication, I disagree that I should be responsible for paying for brake pads replacement and half of labor on rotors that rusted out prematurely that were covered on warranty. The only reason the pads were replaced was because they were on a failed warrantied part and I believe should have been covered as well. Truck doesn't even have 20,000 miles and is only 2.5 years old. I will probably never use your service location again as it was nothing but a hassle. I was actually thinking of trying to purchase a new truck at this location but will probably look elsewhere instead.

I realize vehicles are looked at in order of their appointments. I assume they only have one EV tech at the location, just was not prepared to have my car there 2 whole days just to tell me the part has to be ordered. You should ashamed. I had a an appointment at 3pm. For an oil change and tire rotation. Dropped off my truck. They were to call me when done. 4 went by 5 went by I called and got a voice mail. I went up after 6 to see why it took so long. Come to find out they closed. With my truck. Do you all think I don’t a life that I can just leave my truck. No. Sorry for the sales people they heard my wrath. I retrieved my truck. Oh and you had it for 3 hours and nothing was done. Piss poor service.
